Element:- Plan and prepare equipment for Altitude Treks in the Lower Himalyan reaches and trips into remote and untracked terrain.
Learning:- The participants would be exposed to knowledge about environments other than theirs and understand the challenges and coping for the same. This would enhance their knowledge.
Element: – Establish and break camp in the Himalyan environments so as to have minimum impact on the environment and to provide for the needs, comfort and safety of the group, in remote and untracked terrain.
Learning:- The activity would teach the participants to challenge themselves physically in environments unfamiliar to them. They would be in tune with their new settings and learn to respect it with a human and spiritual approach. Their social skills of living in groups during hardship would bring them closer as they help one another deal with it.
Element: – Move safely and confidently with a group in the forest and in non-technical and technical himalyan terrain and know the ability to adjust plans when the environment dictates.
Learning:- The participants would undergo physical exercise and be in a position of understanding about team play. This would improve their social skills. They would also be in situations of negotiating routes, taking decisions that would be best for the group, assess potential risks and take up leadership roles as well as those as co-workers, both of which are crucial is any given situation. Through this the participants would also learn to appreciate the strengths and weakness of all the team members and work together with sensitivity thereby responding to each other in a humane way.
Element:- Demonstrate practical application of location awareness and the use of navigation equipment in the forest in poor visibility, in remote and untracked terrain.
Learning:- The participants will learn to use their intelligence with newly acquired knowledge and mark out their own routes and plans. This will enhance their thinking abilities and improve the faculties of learning.

Scope:- a) Plan and prepare the clothing for rock climbing.
Element:-a) Plan and prepare the clothing for rock climbing.
b) Introduction to rock climbing equipment : students are lectured on different kind of rock climbing and mountaineering equipment i.e. ropes (range- history of ropes, different forms of ropes – according to manufacture and their uses) tapes, short and long slings, assorted carabineers, descenders, pulleys and different rock anchors.
Learning:- This activity will expose the participants to the start up basics of rock climbing and will improve their knowledge about the clothing and equipment required for it. In the course of the training they will be applying the learning in various activities.
Element:- learn the basic techniques of rock climbing.
Learning:- The participants will learn to manage their physical strength and challenge their mental ability during the activity. They will use their senses and judgement in order to achieve the tasks. They will also assimilate the learning from the previous sessions and use it.
Element:- This will allow the students to use the rope for many special purposes. They will learn to tie themselves into the ropes, anchor them to different natural and artificial objects and join two rope lengths of equal and unequal diameters.
Learning:- Through this activity the participants will learn about knots and hitches which are crucial to the safety of rock climbing. Concern for one’s safety and that of the team will be a prime learning. The activity will be a build up for the upcoming ones.
Learning:- The participants will understand the importance of team safety during this. The co-dependence and the inter-dependence among team members gets accentuated during this and one appreciates the importance of working together.
Learning:- The participants will learn a new technique and challenge their bodies to a new level of physical exercise. Rappelling is an activity where the mind and the body work in co-ordination with each other in order to achieve.
Element:- This will allow the students to use the rope for many special purposes. They will learn to tie themselves into the ropes, anchor them to different natural and artificial objects and join two rope lengths of equal and unequal diameters.

They will also learn to negotiate the holds and take decisions about maximizing them. The balance required by them would required by them would train and discipline their mind as if in a focussed meditative state.

In such cases, outcomes often include exploring the fundamentals of trust, craftsmanship, and coaching. Programs using low ropes course elements or group initiatives are most often designed to explore group interaction, problem-solving, and leadership.
